This sounds like another reason to pick up Monster Hunter Rise, and the fact that it’s going to be available as soon as the PC version of the game releases means that players won’t be left in the dust when they decide to pick the game up on a more powerful set of hardware. Since they’re launching the game after this collaboration, players are going to be able to do these events on day one when the game launches on PC, and they won’t go out of the rotation when players join at a later date. Some of the gameplay shown in the trailer has the feline companion running around just like Sonic in the overworld, complete with their legs blurring from their extremely fast footwork. It also appears that the costume is going to give the Palico some special abilities in battle. Their bipedal cat friend is going to get its own sonic outfit, dressing up like Sonic from head to toe, complete with a chibi Sonic mascot head. However, the meat of the Sonic collaboration comes in the form of the outfits that are given to the player’s Palico companion and their Palamute.
